Field-based role; candidates must live within the territory (all of GA, excluding Savannah).
Reporting to the District Manager (DM), the Oncology Specialist (OS) builds and implements territory business plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals. Responsibilities include building a comprehensive strategic business plan with specific, measurable objectives and action-oriented strategies; responsible resource allocation; and compliant, high-ethical standards.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Meet/exceed assigned sales goal.
- Present approved disease state and product information to customers using persuasive selling (per AbbVie Promotional Policy).
- Use sales analytics and customer intelligence to create high-impact, strategic plans aligned with brand objectives.
- Execute sales and marketing strategies within the territory using cross-functional partners and approved resources.
- Maintain expertise on evolving marketplace, territory changes, and disease state/product knowledge.
- Collaborate with territory partners and external counterparts.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing AbbVie activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree preferred.
- 6+ years Oncology, including solid tumor sales experience preferred (hospital sales or strong account management considered).
- Buy-and-Bill experience preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations.
- Clear, effective communication; consultative selling skills.
- Competitive selling skills.

- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Pass AbbVie background check and additional background screening as required (may include background checks, immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, drug screening).
- Business travel (air or car) regularly required.
- Ability to drive personal auto or company vehicle/equipment; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving requirements.
