Oncology Specialist - Connecticut

This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Stamford, Hartford, New Haven, Providence, Newport, Hyannis and surrounding areas).
Reporting into the District Manager (DM), the Oncology Specialist (OS) will build and implement territory business plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goal.
- Present approved disease state and product information to customers using persuasive selling skills (within AbbVie Promotional Policy).
- Leverage sales analytics and customer intelligence to create strategic, high-impact plans aligned with brand objectives.
- Execute sales and marketing strategies within the territory using cross-functional partners and approved resources.
- Continuously build knowledge of the evolving marketplace, territory changes, and disease state/product expertise.
- Collaborate effectively with territory partners and external counterpart(s).
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to maximize sales opportunities.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and AbbVie policies governing conduct.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs Degree preferred.
- 6+ years Oncology, including solid tumors sales experience preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations.
- Exceptional communication skills using a consultative selling style.
- Competitive selling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Pass AbbVie background check and additional background screening as required (may include immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, and drug screening).
- Regular business travel (by air or car).
- Ability to drive a personal auto/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
