Role Summary
Location: Hackensack, New Jersey. The Oncology Sales Specialist will lead a designated U.S. territory in commercializing gedatolisib, aiming to transform advanced breast cancer treatment with clinical data. You will develop and execute territory plans, educate customers, and enhance patient access to a potentially life-changing therapy. You will collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional partners to achieve revenue targets and advance Celcuity's breast cancer strategy.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performance against sales targets in assigned territory.
- Develop thoughtful territory account and business plans to implement sales strategies and tactics for gedatolisib to achieve or exceed revenue targets, working closely with sales leadership and commercial partners.
- Identify and mitigate barriers to access directly and in partnership with appropriate commercial partners such as Market Access and Marketing.
- Work compliantly with the Medical Science Liaison assigned to your region to help educate the local breast cancer community about gedatolisib science and to address clinical/medical inquiries.
- Present gedatolisib in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner, helping customers understand the benefits and appropriate use of the product.
- Utilize approved resources to build awareness of gedatolisib, and confidence in drug administration.
- Develop strong and long-term relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
- Represent Celcuity at Regional/Local medical conferences in order to maximize access to assigned health care professionals.
- Manage resource utilization and maintain operating costs within budget.
- Perform ad-hoc projects to support the business as requested.
- Develop strong, collaborative business relationships across a matrix of functions within Celcuity, and with external partners. Collaborate and partner effectively with other commercial functions to serve the needs of customers and deliver against business objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and cultivate strong internal and external relationships to enable appropriate, compliant business partnerships.
- Represent Celcuity positively and professionally with customers, at company meetings, conferences and other functions.
- Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to engage in fair-balanced clinical dialogue with customers, utilizing approved corporate, promotional and other resources.
- Work closely with Commercial Operations and other internal business partners to operationalize sales processes and infrastructure, including customer targeting, territory management, and territory strategy.
- Complete all required clinical, disease state, and skill development training successfully and on-time to ensure expert knowledge and understanding of breast cancer, competitive landscape and products, and gedatolisib.
- Collaborate with Commercial Leadership, Market Analytics, and Sales Operations to implement CRM, targeting databases, leads, and reporting systems to direct efforts and drive sales achievement.
- Uphold a deep commitment to fostering a culture of compliance and accountability by partnering with sales and company leadership, Legal, and Compliance to ensure that all sales activities are in full accordance with Celcuity and industry regulations.
- Maintain a strong focus on patient needs, demonstrating empathy and dedication to ensuring access to potentially life-changing therapies.
- Identify and pursue opportunities that improve patient access and outcomes within the scope of the role.
Qualifications
- Required: Five+ years of sales or similar customer-facing experience such as key account management, market access, and thought leader engagement.
- Required: Three+ years of strong results-oriented sales performance in oncology biotech or pharmaceuticals.
- Required: Demonstrated consistent track record of success as a top sales performer.
- Required: Results-oriented and able to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Required: Experienced selling scientifically innovative products involving multiple stakeholders buy-in to enable access.
- Required: Experienced selling in a competitive market.
- Required: Strong technical understanding and expertise in โBuy and Billโ along with medical benefit experience in oncology.
- Preferred: Recent (within the last 10 years) experience in breast cancer.
- Preferred: Established relationships and access to breast cancer treaters and experts within the assigned territory.
- Preferred: Oncology branded drug launch experience.
- Preferred: Experienced in both small/emerging biopharma companies and mature, full-scale biopharma organizations.
- Preferred: Experienced in solid tumors versus hematology only.
Education
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent required. Scientific or business degree a plus.
