Oncology Sales Specialist (Field-Based)

Field coverage: Boise, Idaho โ€“ Spokane, Washington territory. Candidate must reside within the territory. Overnight travel may be required ~25% of the time.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge to create a compelling rationale for product value and effectively position company brands vs. competition in discussions with HCP customers (including knowing when/how to seek and provide additional information).
- Serve as primary customer point of contact; meet with key customer personnel to understand practice structure, business model, and key influencers.
- Apply knowledge of cancer staging, treatment options, and dosing schedules across tumor types; understand patient impact and clinical trial relevance (including impact on promoted products and account practice behavior).
- Analyze and identify trends in a complex buying environment, including drug distribution channels, Oncology GPOs, wholesalers, and specialty pharmacies; review/evaluate product purchasing and prescribing patterns (e.g., outpatient vs. inpatient infusion; hospital contract considerations).
- Develop short- and long-term account plans by understanding complex account interdependencies; partner with the account team and supervisor (Customer Team Leader) to execute the plan and share learnings/best practices across customers.
- Use strategic, insightful questions to obtain oncology account stakeholder needs; use insights to position oncology brands and collaborate on customized strategies.
- Collaborate and communicate with the in-scope customer team to ensure consistent customer experience; coordinate with Key Account Manager, Nurse Educator, Field Reimbursement Associate, Medicare Account Executive, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree with 8 years Sales experience, OR high school diploma with at least 10 years equivalent experience.
- Equivalent experience may include: professional sales experience; non-sales healthcare/scientific experience (pharmaceutical/biotech/medical devices); professional marketing; or military experience.
- 2+ years of oncology field sales experience.
- Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Reside within the assigned territory.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Documented history of strong performance in a sales/marketing or oncology clinical role.
