Job Summary (Primary Function)
The Oncology/Hematology Specialist acts as the primary customer contact for demand creation by executing the marketing strategy, educating customers and promoting products, working collaboratively with internal and external counterparts.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions of the Job)
- Engage with customers via in-person, virtual, or as requested; ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
- Represent professionally, compliantly, and ethically.
- Provide feedback on marketing tools/tactics and effectiveness reviews of sales activities.
- Use the matrix team to address customer needs and ensure access to Incyte products for appropriate patients.
- Provide exceptional customer service through total account management (product access; triage medical/reimbursement issues).
- Execute marketing strategies; deliver branded and disease-state sales messages; execute business plans and promotional programs.
- Demonstrate and communicate in-depth knowledge of clinical benefits.
- Develop/maintain disease-state knowledge and exemplary selling skills.
- Create/maintain a local, account-specific business plan.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
Qualifications / Skills
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong business analytics and account management skills.
- Proven track record achieving sales targets.
- Preferred: experience with buy-and-bill oncolytics and specialty pharmacies.
- Preferred: relevant Hematology/Oncology experience focused on lymphoma; biotech/pharma sales (skills/achievements).
- Preferred: bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience.
- Required: ability to travel using various transportation modes (including overnights); accommodations provided.
- Creative problem-solving; collaboration; strategic thinking; leadership; drive to achieve.
- Product โaccessโ knowledge.
- Effective communication; strong business planning; local oncology market knowledge; customer-centric selling.
- Valid driverโs license and satisfactory driving record (or ability to meet transportation requirements).
- Ability to work effectively in matrix teams.
- Experience with community and academic healthcare providers.
