Job Summary (Primary Function)
The Oncology/Hematology Specialist acts as the primary customer contact for demand creation by executing the marketing strategy, educating customers, and promoting products, working collaboratively with internal and external counterparts.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
- Engage with customers through various channels (in-person, virtual, or as requested), ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Represent the company professionally, compliantly, and ethically.
- Provide feedback on marketing tools and tactics and on effectiveness reviews of sales activities.
- Use members of the matrix team to address customer needs and help ensure access to products for appropriate patients.
- Provide exceptional customer service via total account management, including product access and triaging medical or reimbursement issues.
- Execute marketing strategies, deliver branded and disease-state sales messages, and execute business plans and planned promotional programs.
- Communicate in depth knowledge of the clinical benefits of Incyte’s products to external stakeholders.
- Develop/maintain disease state knowledge and exemplary selling skills.
- Create/maintain a strategic business plan reflecting local market and account-specific knowledge.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Travel is required (car/air/train, including overnights as needed).
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (or ability to meet transportation requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5–6+ years relevant sales experience in Hematology/Oncology with focus on lymphoma category.
- Experience with buy-and-bill oncolytics and specialty pharmacies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
