Role Summary
Oncology/Hematology Account Manager to manage the sales and business activities within a defined geographical business area. Drive sales, leverage customer relationships and impact multiple customer segments through design and implementation of business plans to increase revenue, while coordinating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access and Commercial Operations. This role requires deep knowledge of oncology customers and local market dynamics, and offers opportunities to lead key activities to progress your career.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for driving area sales results and ensuring open patient access to GSK therapies.
- Develop and execute area business plans.
- Identify and apply resources to the development of key prescribers/key account drivers within area.
- Engage proactively with key customers and account groups to promote GSK therapies and the company image.
- Work cross-functionally to maximize brand availability and exposure within key accounts.
- Work collaboratively with the team and Regional Sales Director to ensure successful launch and/or ongoing promotion of branded products.
- Engage with Regional Sales Director and cross-functional partners on the development of programs and activities that increase access to customers.
Qualifications
- Required: 4-year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
- Required: 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, Biologic/Specialty sales experience and/or 3+ years Clinical Oncology experience, oncology education, patient care skills, and direct physician interface.
- Required: Valid Driverβs License; must be able to drive or operate a vehicle β driving is an essential function of this role.
- Required: Must live in geography; relocation not provided.
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel (amount depends on territory size).
