Role Summary
Oncology Account Manager for Solid Tumor covering Philadelphia South and Delaware. The territory includes Philadelphia South and Delaware; ideal candidate will live in the Philadelphia area or Wilmington, DE. This field-based role manages the sales and business activities within a defined geographic area, driving sales, leveraging customer relationships, and impacting multiple customer segments by designing and executing area business plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access and Commercial Operations) to maximize brand availability and patient access.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for driving area sales results and ensuring open patient access to GSK therapies
- Develop and execute area business plans
- Identify and apply resources to the development of key prescribers/key account drivers within area
- Engage proactively with key customers and account groups to promote GSK therapies and company image
- Work cross-functionally to maximize brand availability and exposure within key accounts
- Work collaboratively with team and Regional Sales Director to ensure successful launch and/or ongoing promotion of branded products
- Engage with Regional Sales Director and cross functional partners on the development of programs and activities that will result in increased access to customers
Qualifications
- Required: 4-year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution
- Required: 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, biologic/specialty sales experience and/or 3+ years Clinical Oncology experience, oncology education, patient care skills, and direct physician interface
- Required: Valid Driverβs License - Must be able to drive or operate a vehicle β driving is an essential function of this role
- Required: Must live in geography, no relocation assistance
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel. The amount will depend on the specific territory size and may be up to 30%
- Preferred: 2+ years of Oncology sales and/or Specialty sales experience, Health System/Institutional experience is a strong preference
- Preferred: Product marketing, specialty pharmacy, payer and state society experience
- Preferred: Strong organizational skills in order to maintain a high level of productivity, innovation and priority-setting in order to complete assignments on-time and on-budget
- Preferred: Proven ability to think strategically and work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Preferred: Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with all levels of management and departments within the company
