Oncology Account Executive (Sales)

Responsibilities
- Drive new account acquisition and organic growth via strategic prospecting, value-based selling, and clinical education.
- Position Caris as preferred/sole-source provider of tumor profiling and molecular intelligence.
- Analyze territory opportunities; develop plans; meet/exceed revenue, activity, and performance targets.
- Build/maintain customer relationships through consistent in-person engagement; ensure seamless customer experience across the full order lifecycle.
- Maintain stakeholder communication; escalate issues if satisfaction is at risk; execute retention, upsell, and cross-sell strategies.
- Engage oncology clinicians across clinics, pathology labs, and hospitals; support physicians with ordering and interpretation of the CMI platform (PHI access when required).
- Advise on technology solutions (portals, EMR integrations, workflows) and maintain knowledge of molecular profiling/biomarkers/competitors.
- Provide consultative guidance on billing, reimbursement, payer dynamics, and lab operational workflows; share market/customer/competitive insights.
- Collaborate with Client Services, Regional Business Directors, and Commercial Leadership; maintain CRM/admin tasks; support meetings/conferences/trade shows.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years relevant sales experience.
- Strong oncology practices and molecular diagnostics knowledge.
- Billing/reimbursement environment knowledge.
- Communication/relationship-building skills; manage priorities in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; valid driver’s license; willingness to travel regularly.

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years sales focused on oncology or molecular diagnostics; established oncology/pathology relationships; familiarity with hospital systems/pathology networks.

Compensation/Range
- $125,000–$165,000 annual hiring range (actual varies by location/experience; incentive may apply).

Travel/Employment Conditions
- Travel required, including possible evenings/weekends/holidays; complete pre-employment process (background check, drug screening, credit check for certain roles, and reference verification).
