Observational Research Senior Manager

What You Will Do
- Lead efforts to generate insights and build collaborations and capabilities to advance real-world evidence (RWE) related to disease state epidemiology (e.g., global burden, natural history), treatment patterns, and medication safety.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, execution, and delivery of RWE studies and analyses to support evidence generation for Amgen’s pipeline and in-line medicines.
- Develop and implement innovative analytic methods, capabilities, and tools to enable rapid, scalable, and reproducible RWE.
- Use real-world data and CfOR analytic approaches to advise high-value business decisions for multiple collaborators.
- Communicate significant scientific information to a variety of audiences.
- Build collaborations and promote awareness, understanding, and use of observational research methods with key partners.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years related epidemiology/research experience OR
- Master’s degree and 6 years related research/scientific experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related research/scientific experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years related research/scientific experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 12 years related research/scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Epidemiology or closely related subject with strong observational research content.
- Experience designing, executing, and analyzing observational research in Pharmaceutical and/or Public Health settings.
- Experience supporting drug development.
- Experience with secondary data systems (administrative claims, EMR, registries).
- Observational research project planning and management experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in Dermatology research and/or other inflammation therapeutic areas.
