What You Will Do
- Lead a team of epidemiologists to conceptualize, design, conduct, analyze, interpret and publish observational research supporting drug development programs and regulatory submissions, investigating post-marketing safety and effectiveness.

Key Activities Include
- Effectively lead, develop, and mentor a team of scientists.
- Serve as technical expert on cross-functional teams to identify evidence needs, develop RWE plans, and develop/maintain/expand a portfolio of observational research activities.
- Design and execute observational studies (patient populations, disease burden/resource utilization, product registrations and label expansions, post-marketing requirements/commitments, product differentiation).
- Identify opportunities to substitute for and/or complement interventional studies to reduce time and cost of drug development.
- Influence non-interventional research use and timing to answer strategic business questions.
- Leverage real-world data and analytic approaches to inform high-value business decisions for stakeholders.
- Track priorities and align resources accordingly.
- Participate in CfOR capability-improvement initiatives and provide input into CfOR meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key leaders in observational research.

What We Expect of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree + 4 years scientific experience; OR Masterโ€™s + 8 years; OR Bachelorโ€™s + 10 years.

Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Epidemiology or related field with strong observational research content.
- Experience designing, executing, and analyzing observational research in pharmaceutical or public health settings.
- Experience in research supporting drug development.
- Experience planning and managing observational research projects.
- Excellent verbal/writing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
