Role Summary

Night Shift Supervisor, Aseptic Filling at Lillyโ€™s Concord, North Carolina campus. You will lead Parenteral (PAR) operations during the night shift, guiding start-up activities during project phase and supervising ongoing PAR manufacturing to ensure safety, quality, and staffing. You will develop an inclusive culture, mentor operators, and drive operational readiness and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example with a Safety First, Quality Always mindset; encourage Stop Work Authority when unsafe or product-impacting situations are observed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, support health, safety, and environmental goals, and ensure compliance with quality systems and procedures.
  • Provide administrative and technical leadership for operations; model good practices and teach proper techniques.
  • Collaborate with area supervisors to maintain high standards of communication, knowledge sharing, and consistency across shifts.
  • Oversee shop floor execution to meet production plans, cGMP conformance, and manufacturing excellence standards.
  • Spearhead continuous improvement efforts by gathering ideas, evaluating business value, and implementing high-impact improvements.
  • Ensure sufficient, trained, and compliant personnel to meet production goals; maintain up-to-date training plans.
  • Develop area documentation (procedures, work instructions, job aids) to support start-up, training, and operations.
  • Originate and investigate deviations and quality issues; support root cause analysis and corrective actions to ensure consistent quality.
  • Support building a diverse, empowered, and capable team; manage direct reports across multiple manufacturing lines; coach and evaluate operators.
  • Communicate cross-functionally with support teams for quality, equipment, or operational concerns.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Prior supervisory experience.
  • Required: Basic computer skills (desktop software, MS Office).
  • Required: Experience in operations or supporting a manufacturing operation (Pharma, Food, Clean-room, or equivalent).
  • Required: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Required: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests.
  • Required: Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others.
  • Required: Valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Preferred: 4+ years in manufacturing/operations with 2+ years in supervisory role; knowledge of cGMP and FDA guidelines; STEM degree or certification; experience with aseptic filling, isolator technology, and highly automated equipment; familiarity with MES and SAP; experience with lean/six sigma and root cause analysis; ability to organize and motivate teams; experience with start-up activities.

Education

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to wear safety equipment (glasses, shoes, gloves, etc.)
  • Ability to work and gown in a cleanroom (Grade C, ISO 8) environment
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift (6pm to 6am on a 2-2-3 schedule)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship expected)
