Role Summary

Night Shift Supervisor, Aseptic Filling at Lilly. Lead PAR operations, ensuring safety, quality, and staffing for parenteral filling, aseptic isolator barrier filling, and visual inspection during night shift. Drive start-up readiness during project phase and transition to ongoing site leadership for a growing manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example with a Safety First, Quality Always mindset and support Stop Work Authority when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and support HSE goals.
  • Serve as administrator and technical leader for operations; ensure adherence to procedures, quality systems, and proper techniques.
  • Collaborate with area supervisors to maintain high standards of communication and consistency across shifts.
  • Oversee shop floor execution related to the business plan, cGMP conformance, and Manufacturing Excellence standards.
  • Foster continuous improvement by gathering ideas, articulating value, and implementing high-value improvements with support teams.
  • Ensure adequate, trained personnel to meet production goals; maintain and update training plans for compliance and excellence.
  • Develop area documentation (procedures, work instructions, job aides) to support start-up, training, and operation.
  • Originate and investigate deviations and quality issues; support root cause determination and corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain a diverse, empowered, and capable team; coach, develop, and evaluate operators.
  • Communicate cross-functionally with support teams on quality, equipment, or operational concerns.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Basic computer skills (desktop software, MS Office)
  • Experience in operations or directly supporting manufacturing (Pharma, Food, Clean-room, or similar)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple requests
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others
  • Valid driver's license
  • Preferred: 4+ years manufacturing/operations with 2+ years supervisory experience; knowledge of cGMP and FDA guidelines; STEM degree or certification; experience with aseptic filling, isolator technology, highly automated equipment; MES/SAP experience; continuous improvement methodologies; root cause analysis; ability to organize and motivate teams

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to wear safety equipment and gown in a cleanroom (Grade C, ISO 8)
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift (6pm–6am on a 2-2-3 schedule)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship expected)
