Role Summary

The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is a strategic, results-driven professional responsible for significant sales growth and profitability within a defined territory through compliant, ethical solutions. The role requires deep understanding of account-based selling, the ability to build and maintain strong office relationships, and collaboration across functions to support cross-functional initiatives. Successful candidates will identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions for customers, and exceed performance expectations while managing territory resources and aligning goals with organizational targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with regional team members and key external contacts at all levels, identifying needs and taking appropriate action
  • Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education
  • Strategically manage and grow relationships with key accounts by tailoring solutions to meet their needs and drive sales targets
  • Regularly review and analyze sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds
  • Address external market challenges while fostering collaboration with internal teams to drive cohesive sales strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse expertise and achieve shared objectives
  • Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on top target customers
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to improve performance in the geographical assignment
  • Adhere to all company compliance policies and guidelines
  • Achieve all sales performance goals, objectives, and complete administrative duties for the geographical assignment

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field
  • Experience: At least 1 year of full-time, documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales experience strongly preferred

Skills

  • Proven record of accomplishments in the market toward meeting objectives
  • Interpersonal skills including active listening, empathy, open communication, inclusivity, and openness to feedback
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact with HCPs in person and virtually, and proficiency with technology
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing preferred
  • New product launch experience preferred
  • Broad therapeutic area experience, especially in relevant areas
  • Ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening
  • Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field

Additional Requirements

  • Travel: Regular travel, may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel
  • Territory boundaries: North - Huntsville; South - Spring; East - Lake Charles; West - Cypress/ College Station (boundaries subject to change)
