Role Summary
The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is a strategic, results-driven professional responsible for significant sales growth and profitability within a defined territory through compliant, ethical solutions. The role requires deep understanding of account-based selling, the ability to build and maintain strong office relationships, and collaboration across functions to support cross-functional initiatives. Successful candidates will identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions for customers, and exceed performance expectations while managing territory resources and aligning goals with organizational targets.
Responsibilities
- Build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with regional team members and key external contacts at all levels, identifying needs and taking appropriate action
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education
- Strategically manage and grow relationships with key accounts by tailoring solutions to meet their needs and drive sales targets
- Regularly review and analyze sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds
- Address external market challenges while fostering collaboration with internal teams to drive cohesive sales strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse expertise and achieve shared objectives
- Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on top target customers
- Apply problem-solving techniques to improve performance in the geographical assignment
- Adhere to all company compliance policies and guidelines
- Achieve all sales performance goals, objectives, and complete administrative duties for the geographical assignment
Qualifications
- Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field
- Experience: At least 1 year of full-time, documented business-to-business sales experience; pharmaceutical sales experience strongly preferred
Skills
- Proven record of accomplishments in the market toward meeting objectives
- Interpersonal skills including active listening, empathy, open communication, inclusivity, and openness to feedback
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact with HCPs in person and virtually, and proficiency with technology
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing preferred
- New product launch experience preferred
- Broad therapeutic area experience, especially in relevant areas
- Ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field
Additional Requirements
- Travel: Regular travel, may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel
- Territory boundaries: North - Huntsville; South - Spring; East - Lake Charles; West - Cypress/ College Station (boundaries subject to change)
