Role Summary
The Neuroscience Health & Science Professional (HSP) is a field-based role focused on increasing territory sales and developing relationships with assigned customers and accounts through product promotion and strategic business management. The position requires strong customer, market, and business acumen, disease state knowledge, and the ability to engage customers in person and virtually. Located in Baton Rouge, LA or surrounding area, this role collaborates with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and achieve Pfizer business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drives sales in assigned territory
- Engages with customers both face to face and virtually
- Develops and implements effective business and territory call plans; identifies and implements live/virtual engagement strategies to maximize effectiveness
- Builds rapport and relationships with customers in live and virtual environments; utilizes digital tools for ongoing engagement
- Leverages internal reports and analytics to identify and implement strategic business opportunities
- Educates providers on product value proposition using disease state knowledge and approved clinical information
- Collaborates across the organization to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives
- Completes all administrative requirements on time and compliantly
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in professional sales or promotional activity, or equivalent experience (e.g., associate’s degree with 6+ years, high school diploma with 8+ years)
- Required: Relevant experience in healthcare/scientific roles or education-related roles
- Required: Must live within 25 miles of the territory border
- Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; no disqualifying DUI/DWI in past 7 years
- Required: Ability to travel to all accounts/locations within the territory; overnight stays may be required
- Preferred: 1 year of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical sales or marketing experience
- Preferred: Strong sales/marketing track record and territory management skills; excellent communication, teamwork, and accountability
- Preferred: Experience with disease states, therapeutic areas, and relevant products; knowledge of territory customers and markets
- Preferred: Reside within the territory boundaries
Additional Requirements
- Travel within the territory; some overnight travel may be required depending on territory size and business needs
