Role Summary

Neuroscience District Sales Manager (Psychiatry) - NY-NJ District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a specialty sales team focused on neuroscience/psychiatry products within the NY-NJ district.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing team members; coach and mentor sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive district performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative work environment; travel up to 75% as required.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management experience preferred.
  • Note: Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression; other specialty experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop a high-performing team of specialty sales representatives; documented high performance of sales and leadership track record.
  • Must have a valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history; ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships; strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Must reside near a major airport within the district.
  • Experience in small company and start-up work environments; ability to adapt in dynamic settings.

Skills

  • Excellent people management and supervisory skills; ability to develop and coach specialty sales representatives and lead the team.
  • Clinical focus with patient-centric and tactical communication; strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent work style with sound decision-making; strong organizational abilities; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
