Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction for product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain full compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience / Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (not met may be considered for an “Associate” role).
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the assigned territory preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history; must reside within territory geography.

- Ability to travel (including overnights); out-of-territory travel for HQs, training, and meetings may be required.
