Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze the local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal allocation of resources (budgets, time, etc.) within territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring/reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers/customer facilities/state/local governments.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education & Experience (Requirements/Preferred):
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; otherwise may be considered for Associate role.
- Preferred: atypical anti-psychotic/orphan drug experience; specialty experience in psychiatry/bipolar/depression/CNS or pain management; reimbursement experience.
- Preferred: existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Self-starter; goal/results driven; β€œhunter” mentality; strong territory knowledge.
- Travel required (may include overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQ/training/meetings; may include meetings outside normal hours; must reside within territory geography.
