Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy for product promotion.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the territory.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
- Communicate persuasively using advanced selling and negotiation skills.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience / Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (or consider “Associate” role if not met).
- Preferred: atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience; specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Preferred: reimbursement experience; existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter; goal/results driven; “hunter” mentality.
- Strong territory relationships/knowledge.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights), including out-of-territory HQ/training/sales meetings; occasional meetings outside normal hours.
- Must reside within territory geography.

- Clinical, patient-centric, tactical; strong interpersonal/verbal/written communication.
- Navigate complex markets/organizations; excellent work ethic/organization.
- Manage multiple priorities independently; make sound decisions; adjust quickly to roadblocks.
