Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Maryland West. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the neuroscience/psychiatry territory.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory (budgets, time, etc.).
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
- Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Adhere to credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and government regulations.
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Required: Valid driverβs license and clean driving history; ability to travel (including overnight).
- Required: Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
- Required: Ability to reside within the territory geography and operate a motor vehicle for local/regional travel.
- Preferred: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; reimbursement experience; experience with atypical antipsychotics and/or orphan drugs; psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management experience; established relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers.
- Preferred: Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory.

- Clinical, patient-centric and tactical with excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written).
- Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations; strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities; computer proficiency.
Education
Additional Requirements
- Travel may be required, including overnights; occasional travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings.
- Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
- Must reside within territory geography.
