Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Hudson River Valley, responsible for exceeding goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services. Reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager and collaborates to execute sales strategies within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to address day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the defined territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associates considered if not meeting experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; proven track record of above-average results.
  • Fortitude to sell, hunter mentality, and strong territory knowledge.
  • Ability to travel (overnights possible); may require travel to HQs/training and meetings; some outside normal hours.
  • Residence within territory geography.

Education

  • BS or BA degree; GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside within the territory.
  • May require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
