Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Houston, TX South. The primary responsibility is to exceed goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the neuroscience portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Handle additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associate role considered for lesser experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goals/results orientation; hunter mentality.
  • Strong territory knowledge and ability to travel (including overnights).
  • Willingness for out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings; some after-hours work.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Awareness of legal and regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical sales.

Education

  • BS or BA degree; GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel locally and regionally, including overnight travel as needed.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
