Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Hartford, CT West. The role focuses on exceeding established sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the neuroscience/psychiatry space.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Participate in additional, ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associates considered for the Associate role if necessary.
  • Atypical antipsychotic or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; proven track record of strong performance.
  • Hunters mentality with competitive drive; strong territory knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays; potential out-of-territory travel to HQ, training, and meetings.
  • Flexible work hours; must reside within territory geography.

Education

  • BS or BA required (GPA > 3.0).
