Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate frequently with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion strategy.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, diseases, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with industry-standard healthcare provider/customer facility credentialing requirements.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
- Candidates not meeting experience may be considered for an “Associate” role.
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter with a proven track record of above-average results; “hunter” mentality.
- Strong territory relationships and knowledge preferred.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); may require out-of-territory travel and meetings outside normal hours.
- Must reside within territory geography.
