About The Role
- Responsible for a specific geographic territory and the successful promotion and growth of Neurocrine products.
- Manages and develops long-term relationships with physicians and other customers for targeted accounts in the assigned territory and represents Neurocrine brand(s) and approved indications.
- Educates external customers (e.g., physicians, nurses, medical assistants, case managers) on product benefits.
Your Contributions
- Sales and Market Development
- Drives product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management.
- Executes territory sales strategies to meet or exceed objectives via in-person and virtual communications.
- Identifies and addresses territory-specific opportunities and barriers to product success.
- Manages promotional resources and budget.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Builds and maintains relationships with healthcare providers (Psychiatrists, Neurologists, NPs, PAs), clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, PharmDs), key opinion leaders and advocacy groups, community mental health clinics and long-term care facilities, and local/regional payers and pharmacies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicates with internal partners including managed care, Marketing, Patient Access, Medical Science Liaisons, and medical communications teams.
- Professional Standards
- Upholds ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and industry best practices; models integrity consistent with company values and compliance policies.
- Work Expectations
- Maintains full field presence Monday–Friday with flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS/BA in science or related field AND minimum 4 years commercial pharma/biotech or related experience (3+ years specialty pharmaceutical or LTC, Psychology, or Neurology sales highly desired).
- Close-door/specialty pharmacy distribution strongly preferred; psychiatry/neurology/antipsychotic experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with business systems, salesforce automation platforms, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Oracle, SAP, Business Objects, COGNOS, QlikView, Veeva, etc.) OR
- Master’s in science or related field AND 2+ years of similar experience.
Required Skills/Expertise
- Knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline; strong healthcare regulatory/enforcement understanding.
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives and launch success in complex environments.
- Leadership and ability to lead/participate in cross-functional teams.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with sales platforms/business intelligence tools; excellent project management.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; strong sales/account management disposition; ability to navigate complex accounts and understand specialty fulfillment and payer requirements.
Job-Specific Requirements
- Reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (frequent driving required).
