About the Role
- Responsible for a specific geographic territory and the successful promotion and growth of Neurocrine products.
- Manage and develop long-term relationships with physicians and other customers for targeted accounts in assigned territory; represent Neurocrine brand(s) and approved indications.
- Educate external customers (e.g., physicians, nurses, medical assistants, case managers) on product benefits.
Your Contributions
- Sales and Market Development:
- Drive product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management.
- Execute territory sales strategies to meet/exceed objectives via in-person and virtual communications.
- Identify and address territory-specific opportunities and barriers.
- Manage promotional resources and budget.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build/maintain relationships with: psychiatrists, neurologists, NPs/PAs; RNs/LPNs/PharmDs; key opinion leaders/advocacy groups; community mental health clinics and long-term care facilities; local/regional payers and pharmacies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with managed care, Marketing, Patient Access, Medical Science Liaisons, and medical communications.
- Professional Standards:
- Uphold ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and pharmaceutical industry best practices; model integrity consistent with compliance policies.
- Work Expectations:
- Maintain full field presence Monday–Friday; flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS/BA in science or related field AND minimum 4 years commercial pharma/biotech or related experience; 3+ years specialty pharmaceutical or LTC, Psychology, or Neurology sales highly desired.
- Strongly preferred: close-door/specialty pharmacy distribution; psychiatry/neurology/antipsychotic experience.
- Preferred tools: business systems and salesforce automation/business intelligence (e.g., Salesforce.com, Oracle, SAP, Business Objects, COGNOS, QlikView, Veeva).
- OR Master’s degree in science or related field AND 2+ years similar experience.
Skills/Expertise
- Knowledge of best practices; strong understanding of healthcare regulatory/enforcement environments.
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives and launch success.
- Ability to lead/participate in cross-functional teams.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with sales platforms/BI tools.
- Excellent project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; strong sales/account management; navigate complex accounts; understand specialty fulfillment and payer requirements.
