About The Role
- Responsible for a specific geographic territory and the successful promotion and growth of Neurocrine products.
- Manages and develops long-term relationships with physicians and other customers for targeted accounts in the assigned territory; represents Neurocrine brand(s) and approved indications.
- Educates external customers (e.g., physicians, nurses, medical assistants, case managers) on the benefits of Neurocrine products.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Sales and Market Development: Drives product acceptance/growth through targeted education and strategic account management; executes territory sales strategies in-person and virtually; identifies and addresses territory-specific opportunities/barriers; manages promotional resources and budget.
- Customer Relationship Management: Builds/maintains relationships with healthcare providers, clinical staff, key opinion leaders/advocacy groups, community mental health clinics/long-term care facilities, local/regional payers, and pharmacies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicates with managed care, Marketing, Patient Access, Medical Science Liaisons, and medical communications teams.
- Professional Standards: Upholds ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and industry best practices; demonstrates integrity aligned with company values and compliance policies.
- Work Expectations: Maintains full field presence Monday–Friday (flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events); other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS/BA in science or related field AND minimum 4 years commercial pharma/biotech or related experience (including 3+ years specialty pharmaceutical or LTC, Psychology, or Neurology sales—highly desired). Close-door/specialty pharmacy distribution strongly preferred; psychiatry/neurology/antipsychotic experience strongly preferred.
- OR Master’s degree in science or related field AND 2+ years similar experience.
- Proficiency with sales automation/business intelligence tools (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Business Objects, COGNOS, QlikView, Veeva) and strong computer skills.
- Strong healthcare regulatory/enforcement understanding; proven sales objective/launch success in complex environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong sales/account management mindset; ability to navigate complex accounts.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (frequent driving).
