Role Summary
The Neurology District Sales Manager leads and develops a district-level sales team focused on CNS/neurology products, driving sales results and building strong relationships with healthcare providers. The role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage operations across local and regional levels with significant travel. The position may require on-site presence near a major airport within the district and adaptability to innovative work environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialty sales representatives to achieve district sales goals and high performance.
- Recruit, retain, and cultivate high-performing talent within the district.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers, facilities, and key stakeholders; ensure credentialing requirements are met.
- Analyze market and performance data; adjust sales strategies to drive results and address roadblocks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support district initiatives and ensure compliant execution of field activities.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; ability to operate a motor vehicle for local, regional, and occasional overnight travel; ability to secure and maintain credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities; reside near a major airport within the district; ability to travel up to 75%; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills; ability to build and sustain positive relationships; strong analytical and business acumen; ability to maintain effectiveness in an innovative work environment.
- Preferred: Advanced degree; 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management experience; CNS/neurology/pain management or MS market experience; proven recruitment and development of specialty sales teams; track record of high sales performance; startup or small company experience.
