Role Summary
NeuroHealth Sales Specialist in New Orleans will be part of a psychiatry-focused sales team responsible for a long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia and promoting existing Psychiatry products in the local area. The role delivers results by collaborating across teams in a compliant and ethical manner, aligning resources with organizational objectives, and building strong networks with internal and external stakeholders. The Sales Specialist analyzes trends, applies knowledge in customer interactions, and plans business activities to achieve territory goals, while upholding Tevaโs culture and values.
Responsibilities
- Achieve all sales performance goals and objectives for the geographical assignment
- Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training
- Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals; sell in different care settings and identify key opportunities
- Build rapport and relationships with employees and external contacts (e.g., HCPs and office staff) at all levels, addressing their needs appropriately
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education
- Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on top target customers
- Apply traditional and non-traditional problem-solving techniques to improve performance and company effectiveness
- Adhere to Tevaโs compliance policies and guidelines
- Territory boundaries are subject to change based on business need
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical sales experience; experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
- Record of successfully achieving sales goals and building effective customer relationships
- Experience launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care
Skills
- Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology
- Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies across pertinent business settings (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice)
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience calling on community mental health centers (CMHC) is a plus
- Ability to travel as required (overnight and/or weekend travel)
- Valid US driverโs license and acceptable driving record
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
