Role Summary

Network Manufacturing Excellence Lead responsible for developing and implementing Manufacturing Excellence initiatives across the US OpU, driving strategy, cross-site programs, and transformation to improve quality, supply, cost, cycle time, and Right First Time performance. Leads integration across functions, partners with Ops leadership, and builds Operational Excellence capability at sites to address critical business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the T4 OpU Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) Leadership Ecosystem
  • Develop and implement a manufacturing excellence strategy for the OpU network, prioritizing to drive achievement of PGS & GH&B Goals
  • Facilitate network replication of best practices, and advance recognition
  • Lead key cross-site initiatives (e.g., CIP management of current year and pipeline, digital infrastructure, Tech Transfer, T5/4 CI Initiatives, etc.)
  • Act as thought partner to GH&B Operational Excellence & US VP of Operations Leads
  • Design, develop and execute OpU communication plans, as needed
  • Improve manufacturing performance through appropriate integration and application of Operational Excellence tools and methodologies (lean, six sigma, etc.)
  • Build Operational Excellence expertise and capability at the sites to resolve critical business needs
  • Support deployment and maturity of Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) ecosystems prioritized to enable key operational outcomes
  • Demonstrate relationships across the network to deliver outcomes and influence in a matrix environment
  • Aggregate inputs from multiple stakeholders and ensure alignment with PGS & GH&B strategy and compliance requirements
  • Translate SME experiences across Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, Regulatory, Engineering, and/or Finance to advance deliverables
  • Present complex ideas to senior leaders, anticipate objections, and address stakeholder concerns through effective storytelling
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process enhancements and measure progress
  • Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 7+ years; or PhD with 5+ years
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including direct site experience
  • Deep understanding and expertise in Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Quality
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change at a network level
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and influence across functions
  • Analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities; execution-focused, capable of leading initiatives from strategy to implementation
  • Proficient in Six Sigma/Lean/Innovation methodologies (e.g., Green Belt, Innovation Coach)
  • Proven ability delivering value through Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx)
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills with concise, creative messaging
  • Experience coaching and motivating individuals across reporting lines
  • Promotes innovation and manages risk to improve processes
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization
  • Previous people leadership experience required
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferred Requirements: Independent, quick learner with a curious and lifelong learning mindset
  • Experience creating BI report visualizations
  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • PMP Certification
