Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions (BGP routing and switching) across distributed sites.
- Administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama), security policies, NAT, and threat prevention.
- Manage Aruba switching and wireless infrastructure (ArubaOS-CX, ArubaOS, Aruba Central) for campus and remote locations.
- Implement and maintain 802.1X port-based authentication and RADIUS for wired and wireless access control.
- Design and enforce network segmentation (VLANs, firewall zones, ACLs, micro-segmentation) to support zero-trust.
- Operate and tune LogicMonitor for network performance, capacity, availability, and alerting.
- Troubleshoot network incidents using NetFlow, syslog, packet captures, and SNMP; perform root cause analysis.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and refresh projects with minimal disruption.
- Maintain network documentation (topology diagrams, IP address management, configuration baselines).
- Collaborate with security, systems, and applications teams; support compliance initiatives.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Provide tier 2/3 support and mentor junior engineers/helpdesk staff.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years enterprise network engineering/operations.
- Strong routing/switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, static routing, route redistribution, STP, VLANs, VRF).
- Hands-on Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama, security policies, NAT, GlobalProtect).
- Hands-on Aruba switching/wireless (ArubaOS-CX, ArubaOS, Aruba Central, Mobility Controllers, ClearPass).
- Experience with network segmentation.
- Troubleshooting/support of telephony (MS Teams, ShoreTel, 8x8).
- LogicMonitor (or SolarWinds/PRTG/Zabbix equivalents).
- Monitoring/diagnostic tools: SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, syslog, packet capture (Wireshark/tcpdump).
- VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL) and remote access.
- Strong troubleshooting across the OSI model in distributed, multi-site environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
- PCNSA/PCNSE, Aruba ACSA/ACSP/ACMA/ACMP, CCNP (or equivalent).
- Cloud networking (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Automation (Python/Ansible/Terraform).
- ZTNA/SASE knowledge.
- Regulated environment experience (HIPAA/SOX/PCI).

- Self-directed with project management/prioritization skills.
- On-call rotation and occasional after-hours maintenance.

Working Conditions:
- Primarily office; occasional travel to data centers/remote sites; after-hours/weekend work as needed.
