POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Sales Trainer drives field force capability development through field coaching, training reinforcement, and National-level pull-through of commercial initiatives. Partners with the National Director, Area Business Directors, Marketing, and Commercial Training to reinforce effective selling behaviors and consistent execution of brand strategy.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Coaching and Sales Capability Development
- Conduct field rides and coaching sessions to reinforce approved selling skills, messaging, and execution standards.
- Observe customer interactions and provide timely, actionable coaching.
- Identify individual and team development opportunities (selling skills, clinical acumen, account planning, business ownership, customer engagement).
- Support continuous learning, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Reinforce best practices and desired behaviors aligned to commercial objectives.

National-Level Strategy Pull-Through
- Partner with the National Director to support pull-through of brand strategy, field strategy, and national initiatives.
- Ensure consistency of approved messaging and selling approaches across regions.
- Support marketing campaigns, training programs, launch initiatives, and key priorities.
- Translate national training/marketing direction into field application.
- Identify barriers to execution and recommend solutions.

Insights, Feedback, and Gap Identification
- Provide regular insights/feedback to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Identify gaps in messaging, resources, field strategy, training content, and readiness.
- Share observations on customer engagement, competitive dynamics, market access, and execution challenges.
- Recommend enhancements to training, tools, messaging, and coaching approaches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Area Business Directors to identify regional performance opportunities and development needs.
- Partner with Commercial Training and Marketing; support meetings/workshops/POAs/launch meetings as needed.
- Influence alignment, consistency, and field adoption without direct authority.

Compliance and Operational Excellence
- Ensure coaching/training/field activities follow policies and applicable legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Reinforce appropriate use of approved materials and messaging.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Escalate concerns and represent field needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty sales experience.
- Proven field sales, launch execution, or competitive market success.
- Strong sales execution, territory management, account planning, and customer engagement knowledge.
- Ability to coach, influence, and develop others.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to synthesize field insights and communicate actionable feedback.
- Frequent travel across the nation.

Preferred:
- Field sales training, sales leadership, mentoring, or coaching experience.
- Rare disease/genetics/endocrine/metabolics (or related therapeutic area) experience.
- Experience with first-in-class launches or highly competitive markets.
- Experience partnering with Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Commercial Training.
- Strong clinical aptitude and ability to translate complex information for field use.
