National Employer Account Executive (Remote)

Remote position with up to 50% domestic travel required. Candidates may reside in the Southwest or Western part of the United States and should expect frequent national travel.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with existing employer stakeholders and identify/influence emerging employer stakeholders across the US.
- Identify insights, positions, and potential impact of new and emerging employer stakeholders and vendors.
- Build proactive share of voice with employer customers and influencers on Rx management topics.
- Support internal Strategy Teams regarding emerging strategies and identification of external SMEs.
- Collaborate with Government Affairs/Policy/Strategy Directors to connect and convene with new and emerging stakeholders and advocates.
- Work with Employer Team Director and Marketing Director (and Principal National MOSL, Employer Channel) on employer channel resource development and messaging.
- Develop and deliver stakeholder-appropriate resources to support access for the expanding AbbVie portfolio (DSA decks, case studies, condensed employer value-prop decks, and benefit plan design resources).
- Cultivate national employer KOLs and advocates to shape external education and policy.
- Monitor and deliver market insights; lead education initiatives with Market Access Training on trends impacting purchasers and AbbVie access/gross-to-net.
- Establish AbbVie as a credible source for non-branded information; disseminate via industry meetings and electronic sites/social media (per PR guidelines).
- Support integration of Employer Strategy into AbbVie Business Planning.
- Assist the Employer Corporate Account Team Leader with managing budget and execution of sponsorships and memberships.
- Ensure contract compliance with Big 3 PBM/GPO KAM teams and rebate analysts; quantify volume/sales tied to employer child accounts and access changes.
- Participate in internal task forces relating to member/patient access.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field (required).
- Minimum 5 years of Account Executive or Market Access experience in healthcare industry; EBC and/or PBM experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate in large, complex geographies; influence diverse stakeholders; deliver commercial results.
- Demonstrated negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning/execution.
- Strong analytical skills related to Rx contract terms/language and the commercial payor market.
- Effective written/oral communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing complexity; collaborate with cross-functional, matrixed teams (agility/team-orientation required).
- Customer-centric; able to serve as primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, and identify/influence key customers.
- Understanding of evolving healthcare environment (ACA, CAA, ERISA, clinical guidelines, formulary/utilization management).
- Ability to deliver product and disease-state value proposition materials.
- Highest ethical standards and compliance with AbbVie Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) policies.
- Significant domestic travel (up to 50%).
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities in assigned territory; be in good standing/eligible to obtain credentials.
- Ability to drive a personal auto/company vehicle or powered piece of material handling equipment.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
Preferred:
- 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, Rx supply chain, employee benefit consulting, or healthcare organization.
- Deep understanding of commercial business models and payor markets.
