Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Apellis Care Educator (ACE) team culture and direction across the EMPAVELI franchise; align with Patient Services vision.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to embed ACE business objectives into brand strategy execution.
- Develop/analyze/communicate KPIs and field trends; provide data-driven recommendations.
- Enhance patient training, including individualized home infusion education for rare disease patients.
- Evolve the ACE program by designing initiatives that improve self-administration training and patient journey.
- Recruit, develop, and retain ACE talent; foster an empathy-driven, high-performance culture.
- Optimize tools/systems (SOPs, CRM documentation, workflows, onboarding resources, field materials, training platforms).
- Oversee day-to-day operations through ACE Team Leads: coaching, analytics-driven performance review, and team development.
- Develop/maintain a comprehensive ACE training program.
- Manage ACE budgets and resource allocations.
- Monitor vendor performance related to ACE support.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, Apellis policies, and industry standards.
- Coordinate ACE support with specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and product delivery.
- Collaborate with VAP, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Patient Advocacy on patient education initiatives.

Experience/Qualifications:
- RN with active, unrestricted license preferred (RPH or PharmD may be considered).
- 10+ years pharma/biotech experience focused on rare diseases.
- 5+ years supporting/managing home-based subcutaneous infusion/injection therapies.

Travel: National travel up to 50%.
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
