Responsibilities:
- Develop vision, strategy, tactical plans, and resource/budget plans; oversee and refine the regional MSL team in collaboration with leadership.
- Conduct scientific discourse with subject matter experts and key thought leaders in neurology/neuromuscular and/or rare diseases.
- Direct KOL-driven activities; foster KOL relationships.
- Oversee regional MSL team; coach on field medical tactics and initiatives; ensure scientific excellence.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify/communicate data gaps, support data generation, and contribute to Medical Strategy Plans.
- Lead autonomously: set goals, delegate appropriately, and deliver.
- Own people management for the region: provide strategic guidance, build alignment, train/motivate/influence, and support direct-report career development.
- Ensure field team has appropriate scientific information and tools for exchange of information.
- Provide field insights to internal stakeholders and enable pull-through of actions.
- Attend/support scientific meetings/conferences; represent company on presentations/panels as appropriate.
- Develop/implement initiatives to maximize effectiveness of the functional area.
- Provide proactive KPI/status reports; lead by example to drive teamwork and partnering.
- Ensure compliance with industry/regulatory compliance guidelines and complete administrative tasks (e.g., Veeva/Concur, KOL tracking, conference coverage, expense reports).

Qualifications:
- Graduate degree required (MD, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, DPT, MSN).
- 12–15+ years professional experience; 5–7+ years field medical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and execute autonomously; results-oriented.
- Advanced knowledge of company products, competitive landscape, market/healthcare, and relevant scientific literature.
- Decisive, action-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong people-management capability.
- Ability to lead/work in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to convey complex concepts and strategies; excellent presenter, influencer, communicator.
