Job Title: MSL / Senior MSL

Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers.
- Present scientific information and education on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products across the product lifecycle to healthcare professionals.
- Support research initiatives and physician-initiated projects (e.g., site evaluation/identification, recruitment, investigator meetings, external expert identification, external collaboration management).
- Prepare the marketplace in new therapeutic areas by creating medical community awareness and relationships.
- Create, maintain, and collaborate on internal cross-functional partnerships; work with in-field commercial teams to develop and execute account plans supporting shared business objectives.
- Serve as a medical/scientific resource by answering unsolicited medical questions and addressing clinically related information needs.
- Provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales, and other internal personnel as directed.
- Practice strategic segmentation and optimal resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate/divisional policies and procedures, including accurate/timely documentation for HCP interactions; maintain annual expenses within assigned budget parameters.
- Live in the territory (Baltimore, MD) or be willing to self-relocate within the territory.

Qualifications:
- Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, or APP such as Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) in a relevant scientific discipline; doctorate strongly preferred in a health science/clinical discipline.
- Typically 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and translate territory and corporate needs to support business and clinical objectives.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, teaching, planning, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to work independently and in a team; ability to adapt to new structures/processes/cultures.
- Meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof).
- Ability to learn and convey clinical and non-clinical technical information and engage audiences.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
