Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced biochemical/biophysical assay technology, primarily LC-MS characterization, supporting mRNA vaccine process/product development, release, stability, and comparability.
- Work with analytical leads supporting CMC activities.
- Write/review method documentation and characterization reports for regulatory filings.
- Independently design and execute complex experiments (under general supervision); author method development and investigation reports; ensure timely deliverables.
- Support QC and/or CROs for investigations, deviations, and change control.
- Participate in internal non-GMP and GMP lab setup, product release, and stability testing.
- Provide training to junior team members.
- Comply with Sanofi Quality standards and HSE policy; participate in continuous improvement of lab safety/quality.
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related sciences.
- PhD: 1+ year pharma/biotech experience in analytical development and/or quality control. MSc: 4+ years.
- Extensive hands-on experience characterizing proteins, oligonucleotides, lipids, and degradants using LC-MS.
- Ability to perform complex method development and propose improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other biochemical/biophysical techniques (e.g., RP/IEX/SEC/HILIC LC, CGE, cIEF, spectroscopy, particle analysis).
- Knowledge of nucleic acid/oligonucleotide chemistry and standard analytical methods.
- Experience with highly technical, reactive projects.
Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Independent, collaborative, self-motivated; initiative to lead tasks; agile for urgent requests.
- Ability to work full time onsite in an analytical lab environment.
