MR Research Scientist

Role: Magnetic Resonance Research Scientist focused on advancing MRI technology through hardware and algorithm development. Primary objectives include conceptualizing and prototyping innovative MR systems, optimizing image quality, and translating research into clinical applications. Responsibilities encompass developing novel MRI hardware components (e.g., gradient coils, RF coils), creating and validating investigational MR applications, collaborating with clinicians to refine technologies, and fostering academic and industry partnerships. Candidates will contribute to patent filings and peer-reviewed publications. Requirements: Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields with at least 3 years of research experience; strong fundamentals in MR physics, signal processing, and electromagnetic theory; proficiency in programming languages such as C and Python. Preferred skills involve experience in MR sub-systems development, pulse sequence programming, EM modeling, and grant proposal writing.
