Role: Mechanical technician supporting the development, assembly, troubleshooting, and testing of MR (magnetic resonance) mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and test hardware. Responsibilities: assemble, modify, inspect, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electromechanical systems; set up and execute automated and manual tests; fabricate and rework parts using mechanical lab equipment; troubleshoot wiring, cable harnesses, and PCB issues; inspect parts for fit, form, and function; maintain lab records, test reports, and equipment; train team members in lab safety and processes; ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Requirements: High School diploma or GED with 10+ years of engineering or technician experience; 6+ years in engineering labs, product development, or manufacturing; proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, using measurement tools, and working with mechanical and electromechanical systems; strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; experience with medical device development, MR equipment, IEC 60601 testing, automated testing, cable and PCB troubleshooting, CAD, PLCs, and data acquisition systems; problem-solving, teamwork, and mentoring skills.
