Role Summary
The Associate Director will lead the site IT team at the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging Site (IDAP), delivering the site digital agenda and providing operational support for IT systems. The role focuses on enhancing manufacturing operations through advanced digital technologies and ensuring seamless integration of digital solutions. The leader will collaborate across functions and sites to standardize learnings and capabilities for relevant operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of digital transformation strategies to improve manufacturing processes and support operational excellence
- Actively contribute to the site lead team to influence and advance IDAP’s strategic plan
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and ensure their alignment with business objectives
- Enable data-driven decisions and actions via digital analytics visualizations and AI solutions
- Manage and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all digital transformation initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success
- Share benchmarks and collaborate across the Lilly network to standardize learnings and capabilities
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field
- Required: Minimum of 3+ years people leadership experience
- Required: Professional experience working in a GXP, regulated environment
- Preferred: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field
- Preferred: Experience with MES and/or SAP
- Preferred: Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience leading major project implementations

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field
- Advanced degree (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Position based in Indianapolis, Indiana
- 8-hour days, probable after-hours support
- On-site presence minimum 4 days a week
- Occasional travel may be required
