Role: Molecular Technologist I in a regulated molecular diagnostics lab, focusing on next-generation sequencing (NGS) sample testing and processing. Responsibilities: perform nucleic acid extraction, library prep, hybridization capture, and operate automated sequencing and quantification instruments; track samples in LIMS; maintain equipment and documentation per GDP and SOPs; participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities. Requirements: Bachelor's in a life, biological, physical, or chemical science; at least 6 months of molecular laboratory experience in a CAP/CLIA environment; relevant state licensure or certifications. Preferred: 1+ years of molecular lab experience, MB-ASCP certification, familiarity with DNA manipulation, high-throughput platforms, and LIMS; strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills; knowledge of lab safety protocols and data privacy regulations. High-Value: molecular biology techniques, NGS, DNA sequencing, regulated clinical lab setting, SOP development and review, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Work setup: onsite at FMI Morrisville, NC with varying shifts; adherence to safety and attendance policies.
