Role: Molecular Technologist I performing patient sample testing in a regulated laboratory setting, focusing on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows. Responsibilities: prepare NGS libraries, extract nucleic acids, perform hybridization capture, operate automation platforms and sequencing instruments, ensure quality, maintain records per GDP, execute equipment maintenance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Collaboration involves working with senior personnel and adhering to SOPs, safety, and regulatory standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s in a life, biological, or physical science; 1+ years of molecular lab experience in a CAP/CLIA environment; state licensure or certifications as required. Preferred: Molecular Biology ASCP certification, experience with high-throughput platforms, LIMS, and compliance with QSR.
