Role: Senior Research Associate in the Tissue Dissection Group within Molecular & Cell Biology, focusing on human tissue sample preparation for Vertex research programs. Responsibilities: perform dissection of human tissues (DRG, lungs, kidneys), develop and optimize workflows, process tissues outside normal hours, and maintain detailed documentation in ELN. Requirements: Master's (1+ years) or Bachelor's (4+ years) in molecular or related sciences, expertise in human tissue dissection, experience with organ perfusion or tissue slices, proficiency with ELN, and flexibility for early mornings and weekends. High-Value: human tissue dissection (DRG, lung, kidney), process development, organ procurement, and precision-cut tissue models. Work setup: on-site five days/week with ad hoc flexibility; role involves handling donated human tissues with a focus on quality and documentation.
