Clinical Research and Development
Role Description:
- Provide strategic development and use of predictive and economic models to quantify and communicate product value to patients, providers, and payers.
- Design and implement cost-effectiveness and budget impact models to evaluate economic impact and support the market access strategy for the SANOFI portfolio.
- Ensure timely availability of complex/simple clinical and economic models meeting payer needs.
- Partner with HEVA Business Partners and Value & Access to define required models and timelines.
- Perform โ€œwhat-ifโ€ modeling for product strategy/development decisions; guide markets on model adaptation.
- Support countries for local HTA submissions.
- Conceptualize advanced model design; contribute to methodological aspects.
- Analyze prospectively collected health economic data for model inclusion.
- Manage external vendors for modeling development and validation.
- Interact with Pricing and external advisors.
- Lead the Economic Platform workstream for assigned projects.
- Report to the Modeling Head within Global HEVA.

Main Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership for Global HEVA Economic Modeling across developmental and in-line portfolio.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and budget impact model development is timely, high-quality, and rigorous.
- Advance integrated quantitative approaches (economic, disease, predictive modeling/simulation).
- Lead early economic modeling for development design and pricing strategy.
- Stay current on modeling research and HTA/payer environment; advance methodology in HEOR community.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Masterโ€™s in Statistics and/or Health economics.
- PhD in Economics/Health Economics/(Pharmaco)epidemiology or related field is a plus (public health degree preferred).
- 5+ years in HEOR (data analysis, methodology, modeling, decision modeling, clinical trial/observational input) with scientific publication record.
- Experience with advanced modeling techniques incl. partitioned survival modeling; advanced survival analysis (extrapolation, cure model, relative survival).
- Experience using R; building models for internal and payer decision-making.
- Experience delivering cost-effectiveness to budget impact models supporting reimbursement/access in Europe, US, and other Asian markets; early modeling for portfolio strategy.
- Experience across therapeutic areas, including oncology.

- Fluent English; strong organizational and written/oral communication.
- Customer focus/team spirit; strong analytical/statistical synthesis; project management.
- Ability to communicate technical methods/results to non-expert audiences.
