- Evaluate and facilitate transfer of peptide downstream manufacturing processes (from development labs to pilot plant, including kilo-scale and isolator environments) to enable early-phase cGMP API manufacturing (grams to kilogram quantities).
- Perform peptide purification/isolation; assess purification methods.
- Execute peptide downstream procedures (reverse-phase chromatography, TFF, lyophilization, precipitation & drying).
- Evaluate safety of incoming procedures with safety/process engineering.
- Order/stage chemicals; obtain reference materials; help set up analytical methods.
- Reprocess and analyze analytical data; summarize and present chemistry/challenges.
- Conduct familiarization executions for plant readiness; perform use-tests and document Definitive Lab Trials.
- Maintain detailed lab notebooks; support technical packages/technical transfers.
- Author/review tech transfer plan, SOPs, batch records, campaign and deviation reports.
- Apply scientific knowledge to improve processes; troubleshoot via deviations, quality events, and non-conformances; support RCA and CAPAs.

Basic Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in peptide purification and/or peptide API/drug substance manufacturing; reverse-phase chromatography preferred.
- Authorized to work full-time in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Additional Preferences:
- Working knowledge of peptide downstream; chromatography/TFF; downstream conjugation/cyclization.
- Experience with preparative columns and scale-up; batch records; analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, GC, NMR); mass balance.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, project drive, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $66,000–$171,600; may be eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off/leave, well-being benefits).
