Role Summary

The Military Veteran Leadership Development Program (MVLDP) at Johnson & Johnson is an 18-month program with three 6-month rotations designed to transition highly motivated, experienced military leaders into leadership roles within the company. Rotations span across multiple functions (e.g., Supply Chain, Human Resources, Marketing, Procurement, Brand Management, Sales, and more) with enterprise exposure and cross-functional opportunities. Most rotations occur in New Jersey or Pennsylvania operating companies or corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide military leaders with a structured pathway to transition to a corporate career with Johnson & Johnson
  • Experience rich enterprise exposure, cross-functional and cross-sector rotations, and programmatic curriculum
  • Build a network of strong relationships with cross-functional and cross-sector leaders
  • Develop critical capabilities and gain breadth and depth of Johnson & Johnson through rotations chosen based on development, experience, interest, and business need; after successful completion, participants move into full-time roles
  • Collaborate across rotations in areas such as Supply Chain, Human Resources, Marketing, Procurement, Brand Management, Sales, and others to shape business outcomes across MedTech and Innovative Medicine

Qualifications

  • Must be transitioning from active-duty military service or within 0–4 years of separation; 0–2 years transitioning preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years military leadership experience required; 5–10 years preferred
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
  • Relocation to the New Jersey or Pennsylvania area for the duration of the program required
  • Demonstrated experience as a people manager and/or leader with a proven track record of success
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Desire to transfer military experience into a healthcare career with Johnson & Johnson
