Role Summary
Micro-Ingredient Dispensing Unit (MIDU) Operator for the Days Crew at the Milton, VT facility. This is a full-time, non-exempt position on a 12-hour shift (6am–6pm ET) with a repeating 2-2-3 schedule. Starting pay is $25/hour, with benefits and potential severance considerations related to plant changes.
Responsibilities
- Daily dispensing (scheduled and unscheduled) to support production, NPPD, contract manufacturing schedules, MSOs, QA samples, and retests; follow written procedures and document thoroughly.
- Use CDS, SAP, and DCS software to perform daily tasks; perform tasks manually when necessary.
- Perform MIDU consumptions in SAP, verify inventories in SAP, releases, etc.
- Calculate and order daily raw materials in SAP; receive materials into 3WS and SAP manually.
- Clean MIDU and other area/equipment as directed.
- Calculate strength-factor adjustments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor; may require short-notice overtime or shift changes.
Qualifications
- Required: H.S. diploma or equivalent (GED); ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions; ability to perform duties safely and efficiently; ability to operate and navigate computer systems and applications.
- Preferred: Knowledge of GMPs and food allergens; initiative, commitment to quality, problem-solving, dependability, attention to detail; strong organization and ability to prioritize multiple tasks; ability to work independently and in a team.
Education
- H.S. diploma or equivalent (GED)
Position Physical Requirements
- Bending, stooping, and repetitive lifting up to 55 lbs.
- Standing and walking for 10+ hours per shift.
- Exposure to noise, cold (40°) and warm (110°) temperatures, strenuous activity, heights and confined spaces.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment; work from ladders, scaffolding, and staging.
