Metrology Supervisor / Technical SME - Calibration & Measurement Science

Role: Metrology Supervisor / Technical SME overseeing calibration and measurement science at Alcon, supporting manufacturing, laboratory, engineering, and quality functions. Responsibilities: lead calibration operations, supervise technicians, develop calibration programs, serve as technical authority on measurement systems, ensure compliance with GxP and industry standards, support audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least 2 years relevant metrology or calibration experience, strong knowledge of measurement traceability, uncertainty analysis, and calibration management; leadership and technical communication skills. Preferred: background in engineering, physics, or measurement science; experience in regulated pharma, medical devices, biotech, aerospace; certifications like CCT, CQE, or CQA; proficiency with ISO/IEC 17025, calibration systems, and audit support.
