Primary duties include verifying donor health through assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick hematocrit testing; assisting donors through the screening process; providing donor education on plasma products and center policies; maintaining accurate electronic records; and monitoring donor reactions. Responsibilities also encompass maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring supply availability, and adhering to health and safety standards. The role may involve cross-training in other center functions and bilingual communication, depending on organizational needs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least three months of experience in customer service or a healthcare-related setting, and basic math skills. Work conditions involve standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds in a fast-paced, potentially hazardous environment requiring PPE. Overtime and extended hours may be necessary to support operational needs. The position reports to the Assistant Center Manager and is suited for candidates comfortable with high safety standards and client interaction.
