Medical Screener - Reception Technician (Customer Service)

Role: Donor Services Associate at a plasma collection center, responsible for donor registration, health screening, and education. Objectives include ensuring donor eligibility, conducting screening procedures (medical history, vitals, finger-stick tests), and maintaining compliance with SOPs. Responsibilities encompass verifying donor suitability, explaining donation processes, accurately recording data, and monitoring donors during and after pheresis. May assist in registering and transferring donors, answering inquiries, and supporting hyperimmune programs when applicable. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum three months experience in customer service or medical settings; basic math skills. High-Value: plasma collection, donor screening, health and safety compliance, blood borne pathogen awareness, bilingual skills potentially required, and experience in a fast-paced, potentially hazardous environment. Work setup involves standing/walking up to 100%, lifting up to 25 pounds, extended hours, and use of PPE; some cross-training may be involved.
